1. Tell us about your current role; what does the job entail? I currently work on the client services team as a client services administrator. I look after the quality of work the company write, making sure the company standard is met and the company is meeting compliance standards. I also review policy amendments and ensure the client is looked after and happy. I also assist with the compliance department. 2. How long have you worked in IPF? Four years and 8 months. 3. What attracted you to working there? The culture of the company attracted me initially to IPF. I had seen the advertisement and the role description online seemed like something I would be suited to but what really sealed my interest in the company was meeting some of the members of staff at my interview. Everyone seemed nice and genuinely interested in your progression and wanted to help you achieve your best. 4. Tell us about your average day. My average day varies, there are several different elements to my role. Typically I would review my emails in the morning monitoring any amendments to any existing policies received. I would make outbound calls to clients when required. I would also review the paperwork processed that week to ensure it is compliant and meets the standards of the company. I have weekly meetings with the financial advisors and other departments. 5. What do you enjoy about your job? I enjoy the fast-paced nature of the job. You get to work on a number of different areas therefore you are always improving and developing your skills. I also enjoy helping clients with any queries they might have in relation to their policies. 6. What are the challenges? One of the biggest challenges within my job I would say is time management. There are numerous different areas of my job and managing to complete each task at the appropriate time takes a lot of hard work, dedication and good time management skills. 7. Describe the work culture in the company. Work culture is great within the company. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. It is like a small family within your team, everyone wants to see each other flourish and succeed in their goals. Everyone helps each other in learning and excelling at their position. 8. What advice would you give to somebody interested in working there? If you are interested in a fast-paced environment where hard work pays for high rewards this is the company for you. 9. Is there something unique or interesting about your company that you’d like to share with potential job seekers? The hybrid work environment is great, especially for someone who lives further away from the office. Speaking as someone who lives in Westmeath, I found the encouragement and trust from managers brilliant to allow for a hybrid role.
